ABOUT ABOUT

The Eastside Neighborhood Association of Paterson, New Jersey Announces its 32nd Tour of Historic Homes, on Sunday, October 6th 2019.

After a four-year hiatus, The Eastside Neighborhood Association (ESNA) of Paterson is proud to present its 32nd House Tour, scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 from 12 noon to 6pm, rain or shine.

This highly anticipated event will showcase several stunning homes lovingly restored and maintained by their proud owners and the neighborhood itself.  The historic White House in Eastside Park will also be open to the public. This year it will host an exhibition dedicated to the history of the City of Paterson, founded by Alexander Hamilton as America’ first planned industrial City. Visitors are also invited to tour Eastside Park which was originally designed by Frederick Olmsted’s company (the designer of Central Park in New York City) and view many lovely locations such as the Horse Barn, (an award-winning restoration), the Martin Luther King Memorial Garden in the circle outside the White House and the Alice B. Weight Fountain.

Since the first event took place over thirty years ago, House Tour has become a key showcase for the Eastside Neighborhood and the City of Paterson itself.  Several municipal bodies such as Paterson Police, Fire and DPW will be participating. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department’s mounted unit will also be in the park with its magnificently turned out officers and horses walking the historic streets.

Eastside Neighborhood Association President, A Curtis Farrow said, “ There is one question I am constantly asked by all and sundry, and that is; ‘When will you be holding your next House Tour?’ I’m delighted to be able to answer with a firm date instead of saying stay tuned; ESNA is working hard to deliver a truly special event which will celebrate the Eastside Neighborhood and the great city of Paterson”.
